ARSENAL star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is good enough to play for either Liverpool or Chelsea, according to pundit Phil Thompson.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has turned down a new contract at Arsenal worth £180,000-a-week and wants to leave the club.
Liverpool and Chelsea are both interested in signing the England international, whose current deal at the Emirates runs out at the end of the season.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has become frustrated at his lack of game time at Arsenal, despite starting the first two Premier League matches of the season against Leicester and Stoke.
However, he has played at wing-back in those games, rather than his preferred role in central midfield.

I would certainly take Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain at Liverpool
Thompson says he can see the 24-year-old lining up in Jurgen Klopp’s midfield at Liverpool as well as other top teams in England like Chelsea.
“I would certainly take him (at Liverpool),” the former Reds defender said on Sky Sports.
“We play with a three in there (midfield).
“He could play either side of (Jordan) Henderson or if Henderson doesn’t play, (Emre) Can.

“He brings drive, he brings energy to any side.
“This boy has got a lot to offer and I don’t think he’s been valued.
“I think he deserves a lot more. If he’s going to go, whether it’s Liverpool or whether it’s any of the top teams, Chelsea have been talked about, I can see him getting into a lot of those sides.”
It remains to be seen whether Oxlade-Chamberlain will be named in Arsenal's squad for the trip to Anfield to face Liverpool tomorrow (4pm).
