Hull midfielder Ryan Mason to make decision over future after injury
RYAN MASON’S career hangs in the balance - seven months on from his sickening head injury.
Ryan Mason faces a decision over his future after his injury
The Hull midfilder will visit a third specialist next week to determine when he can return from the fractured skull he suffered in January.
Hull’s £13million record signing underwent surgery after a clash of heads with Chelsea’s Gary Cahill.
Mason spent eight days in hospital and had 14 plates inserted following the collision.
Hull manager Leonid Slutsky said: “One doctor is saying one thing and another saying another.
“So he will get a third opinion on Monday. He will have a decision about his future, if he needs an operation or not.
“Ryan is a big hero for me, but now the question is not just about football but about his life. It’s very serious.
“He wants to play but he must make a decision not only about himself but also his family. It’s more than only football.”
