Deportivo want Diego Costa: Chelsea striker could make surprise exit after statement
DIEGO COSTA could be offered a temporary move to Deportivo La Coruna to help ease his way out of Chelsea.
Chelsea want to sell Diego Costa this summer
Chelsea want to sell Costa and are seeking £50million for his services.
The forward wants to rejoin Atletico Madrid and made his intentions clear in a statement today.
"My destination is already made,” Costa said, via his hometown club Sportivo Sergipe.
“I must return to Atletico Madrid. It turns out that there is the impasse that Chelsea does not want to release me.
“But I believe that this situation will be resolved now on my return to Spain.”
But Atletico’s transfer embargo means a deal to the La Liga giants could be tricky this summer.
Costa has been offered a move to AC Milan for six months but has turned that down.
And Spanish newspaper Estadio Deportivo claim Deportivo will offer Costa a similar exit route out of Chelsea.
Deportivo manager Pepe Mel wants to sign a striker
According to the report, Deportivo manager Pepe Mel is keen to bring in a new striker.
Carlos Vela and Lucas Perez are also on Mel’s radar.
Estadio Deportivo claim Deportivo could sign Costa - most likely on loan - from Atletico if the Madrid side secure a deal with Chelsea before the end of the month.
