The sprint king retired from athletics on Saturday after a glittering career.
However, things didn’t pan out the way he had hoped as he picked up a hamstring injury in the 4x100m relay.
And now he faces a race against time to be fit to take to the field for Manchester United against Barcelona in a legends game.
A source told The Sun: “This has been his dream for many years.
“He’s desperate to do it as long as he can get over the injury."

Bolt claimed earlier this month United will wait until deadline day on August 31 to sign him.
