LIVERPOOL must splash the cash this summer on RB Leipzig star Naby Keita because he would make them a better team.

That is according to pundit and Liverpool legend Steve Nicol, who says he does not care how much his old side have to pay.
The Reds have already had a bid of £57million rejected for the Guinea international and Express Sport understands they are preparing an improved offer of £65million.
Jurgen Klopp's side have made two additions so far in the transfer window, with young striker Dominic Solanke joining from Chelsea and Mohamed Salah from Roma.
Keita’s capture would see Liverpool smash their transfer record for a second time this summer, after Salah's arrival beat the £35million they paid for striker Andy Carroll from Newcastle back in 2011.

Naby Keita makes Liverpool better no question. He's young, he could be a superstar, just go and sign him
Nicol, who won five league titles at Anfield in a 13-year spell, is usually quite prudent when it comes to how much Liverpool spend on players.
But this time he just wants a deal completed because he thinks Keita could become a top-class player..
"Forget about the money, I've forgotten about the money," Nicol said on ESPN FC.
"Just sign the guy, forget the money now. It doesn't matter.

"I don't care about the money anymore."
Keita has made just 31 Bundesliga appearances for Leipzig, scoring eight times.
