Alexandre Lacazette: Arsenal new boy discusses secret to goalscoring prowess
ALEXANDRE LACAZETTE has explained the secret behind his prolific goalscoring form after joining Arsenal.
Arsenal tease fans before announcing Lacazette signing
Alexandre Lacazette joined Arsenal for a club-record fee of £52million, signing a five-year deal.
Lacazette had the second-best chance conversion rate in Europe’s top five leagues.
The former Lyon striker was in devastating form last term, firing home 37 goals in 45 matches in all competitions.
And the 26-year-old has unearthed the secret behind his eye for goal.
“First of all you need to have players behind you who pass the ball well, resulting in good goalscoring opportunities,” Lacazette told the club’s website in his first interview as a Gunners player.

I also try to keep as calm as possible. All that is achieved by a lot of hard work in training
“Also every time I take a shot at goal it’s because I believe I can score. I don’t just shoot for the sake of it.
“I always try to choose the best option, whether that is to pass or to shoot.
“I also try to keep as calm as possible. All that is achieved by a lot of hard work in training.”
Arsene Wenger has made a statement signing
Lacazette is only the Gunners’ second signing of the summer.
They have already brought in Sead Kolasinac on a free from Schalke.
