Real Madrid News: Cristiano Ronaldo could force transfer after court trial - report
CRISTIANO RONALDO could force a transfer away from Real Madrid depending on the outcome of his court trial for tax fraud, according to reports.
Ronaldo was at his brilliant best once again for Real Madrid last season, scoring 42 goals from 36 games as the club won La Liga and the Champions League.
However, despite his terrific form, talk has resurfaced that he could be about to leave the Bernabeu.
The 32-year-old has been accused of tax evasion by the Spanish authorities - something that has reportedly made his consider leaving Spain for a new challenge elsewhere.
Cristiano Ronaldo is accused of failing to declare £12.9million worth of taxes between the years 2011 and 2014.
It has since been said he is happy to stay at Madrid given how club president Florentino Perez backed him in an interview two weeks ago.

But Spanish newspaper AS are reporting that doubts over his future will resurface given how his court trial goes.
Ronaldo is due to testify at a Madrid court on July 31 where he will answer to four counts to tax evasion.
However, if things go badly, then he could again consider turning his back on the club he has been with since leaving United back in 2009.
Yet, despite this, most Real fans are optimistic of keeping their star asset.
Ronaldo has reportedly wanted to leave the club on two separate occasions in the last eight years, in 2013 and 2015 respectively.

And both times he ended up with new, improved contracts.
Express Sport understands former club United are not pursuing a new deal as they are questioning the legitimacy of his threats.
But CEO Ed Ed Woodward has always harboured hopes of presenting Ronaldo to their sponsors on the New York Stock Exchange due to the commercial and footballing impact the Portugal international could have.
