Arsenal to demand £8m for Kieran Gibbs: Newcastle weighing up move
ARSENAL will reportedly demand £8million for Kieran Gibbs.
Kieran Gibbs' days at Arsenal could be numbered
Arsenal are expecting a mass exodus, with a number of fringe stars likely to depart the Emirates for pastures new this summer.
Gibbs is entering the final 12 months of his contract.
The left-back played a limited role for the north London outfit last season, and was restricted to just 11 Premier League starts, with Nacho Monreal the current number one in that position.
At present, Gibbs is supposedly seeking a £70,000-a-week deal, and the Gunners have already sign Sead Kolasinac on a free transfer from Schalke.
Rafa Benitez is considering a deal for Kieran Gibbs
And according to the Sunday Mirror, the Gunners want £8m for the England international.
Newcastle are monitoring his progress and Rada Benitez is keen to sign an experienced defender, as he prepares for the Magpies’ return to the top flight.
Watford are also keeping tabs on Gibbs, although recent reports suggested the Gunners had valued him at £15m.
Meanwhile, Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claimed Arsenal have made a big offer to sign Nice left-back Dalbert.
He said Arsene Wenger’s men are now serious contenders for his signature after tabling a bid for his services.
