Antonio Conte is in the market for a holding midfielder, as he seeks to bolster his squad in preparation for the Champions League and the Premier League next term.
Reports emerged earlier this week indicating a £35million deal was on the horizon for Bakayoko.
It was also suggested the prospective move would enable Conte to listen to offers for Nemanja Matic who has been linked with a move to Manchester United.
And now the Blues have agreed a £35.2m deal for Bakayoko.
