ARSENAL have rejected a £4million bid from Juventus for their goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, according to reports.
Arsenal have rejected a bid for Wojciech Szczesny
Arsenal are willing to let Szczesny depart the club following his two-year loan stint at Roma.
The Poland international will head back to the Gunners this summer unless a buyer can be found.
And The Sun claim Juve’s initial offer has been swiftly knocked back by the north London club.
Juventus are aware that veteran goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon is ready to retire after the 2018 World Cup next summer.
They want a new long-term goalkeeper to take over from Buffon and would prefer to have their man installed for the upcoming season so he can learn off the 39-year-old.
Szczesny, 28, is not the only shot-stopper Juventus have been looking at and there are reports they could move for AC Milan’s Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Donnarumma has told Milan he will not sign a new contract and he could leave on a free transfer next summer.
His agent, Mino Raiola, is said to have sought out Juve as a possible destination for the 18-year-old Italy international.
