Championship promotion odds: Aston Villa joint-favourites to reach the Premier League
ASTON VILLA and Middlesbrough are joint favourites to earn promotion to the Premier League, according to the bookmakers.
Fixtures for the 2017/18 Championship season have been released today, with former Premier League stalwarts Aston Villa and Middlesbrough installed as early favourites for promotion.
Steve Bruce made wholesale changes to the Villa squad in January and will be expected to deliver a consistent title challenge.
Meanwhile, Garry Monk has taken over at the Riverside and expectations are high for an immediate return to the top flight.
Last season’s play-off finalists Reading are among the chasing pack while Fulham, Norwich City and Sheffield Wednesday are also backed by the bookies.
