REAL MADRID star James Rodriguez is reportedly wanted by AC Milan - but the player would prefer to join Manchester United.
Commentator: James Rodriguez might not leave Real Madrid
Rodriguez is expected to leave Real Madrid with Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich all linked with a summer swoop.
The Colombia international made just 32 appearances as the Spanish giants won both the Champions League and La Liga last term.
Despite costing £60milllion to sign from Monaco after the 2014 World Cup, Real are set to cut him loose just three years down the line.
AC Milan have already had a busy summer, tying up deals for the likes of Franck Kessie and Ricardo Rodriguez.
The Rossoneri are keen to establish themselves as a leading force in both Serie A and Europe once again and are reportedly on the lookout for a marquee signing that could take them to the next level.

And Spanish outlet Don Balon report Rodriguez is now consequently on their radar.
It is said their new Chinese owners are willing to pay £52million to make the deal happen - an offer that is yet to be dwarfed by a single club.
Real president Florentino Perez is supposedly prepared to sanction a deal but Rodriguez himself could throw a spanner into the works.
Don Balon add Rodriguez is prioritising a move to the Premier League with United above all other offers.

James Rodriguez has had a tricky relationship with Zinedine Zidane
He wants to play under Jose Mourinho and help the Red Devils challenge the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool for the title next season.
Speaking last month before Madrid conquered Spain and Europe, manager Zinedine Zidane cooled talk that Rodriguez would be off.
"James is here, that's not up for question. He's with us," he said.
However, he was then dropped for the club's 4-1 final win over Juventus, failing to make the 18-man matchday squad.
