Dani Alves to Manchester City: Pep Guardiola closing in on reunion with Juventus ace
MANCHESTER CITY are closing in on a deal for Juventus star Dani Alves.
Dani Alves is on Manchester City's radar
Pep Guardiola wants to work with Alves again after a successful spell at Barcelona together.
The right-back is on City’s shortlist as they look to overhaul their full back positions.
City could end up signing four full backs with Kyle Walker, Benjamin Mendy and Ryan Bertrand lined up.
Pablo Zabaleta, Gael Clichy and Bacary Sagna have been released with Aleksandar Kolarov the only full back left at the club.
But Goal say City are close to a deal for Alves having identified him as an option back in April.
Pep Guardiola is undergoing a huge overhaul
And Alves could quit Juve after just one season despite reaching the Champions League final.
City have already spent £43million on Bernardo Silva and £35m on Emerson.
Alves would be significantly cheaper but may have to settle for being Walker’s back up if both are signed.
Alves would bring a wealth of experience and a winning attitude to the Etihad as Guardiola tries to instil his philosophy at City.
