Cristiano Ronaldo: Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand hints he wants Real Madrid star
RIO FERDINAND has dropped a massive hint he wants to see Cristiano Ronaldo back at Manchester United.
Simon Stone: Man United would NOT hesitate signing Ronaldo
The Real Madrid star is set to quit Spain this summer following this week’s revelation.
Ronaldo is outraged by the treatment he has received in regard to allegations of tax fraud.
The 32-year-old has denied any wrongdoing and has now apparently made an ‘irreversible’ decision over his future.
Few teams are able to afford the four-time Ballon d’Or winner, with Paris Saint-Germain and clubs in China mooted.
However, Ronaldo could potentially return to United, who he left for the Bernabeu in 2009.
Rio Ferdinand would seemingly welcome Cristiano Ronaldo back at Manchester United
Viva Ronaldo
And his former team-mate Ferdinand has indicated he would love to see it happen.
Along with the shifty eyes emoji, Ferdinand tweeted: “Viva Ronaldo…”
Manchester United would be able to afford a move to re-sign the Portuguese and reunite him with Jose Mourinho.
But it is unclear yet as to whether the club will pursue a move, although they have tried to bring him back in the past.
Viva Ronaldo...... ?????? @Cristiano

One Madrid player seemingly destined to move to Old Trafford this summer is Ronaldo’s team-mate Alvaro Morata.
The Spain international striker is closing on a £65million switch and is expected to join next week.
Cristiano Ronaldo would certainly prove more expensive, with a world-record figure needed to land him despite his desire to leave Madrid.
Ferdinand and United fans would certainly be excited if a return materialised though, with Ronaldo having spent six successful years alongside the legendary defender at Old Trafford.
