Huddersfield eye Patrick Roberts loan deal: Celtic to sign alternative to Man City winger
HUDDERSFIELD TOWN are eyeing a loan move for Manchester City winger Patrick Roberts, according to reports.
Huddersfield Town want to sign Patrick Roberts
Huddersfield are preparing for life in the Premier League next season and have already agreed a £10million deal to sign City's Aaron Mooy.
And the Terriers are keen to continue their good relations with the Manchester club.
According to the Daily Record, Town want Roberts on a season-long loan deal and hope they can get the move wrapped up soon.
Huddersfield manager David Wagner was successful in the loan market last term and had the bulk of his transfers done before the squad went on a pre-season tour of Sweden.
Roberts, 20, joined City from Fulham in a £12m deal two years ago and scored 11 goals for Celtic last term.
Celtic sent Roberts back to City this summer after a successful loan stint at Parkhead.
The Hoops are open to re-signing the winger once again but Jonny Hayes' arrival from Aberdeen could end their interest.

Express Sport understands Hayes will sign a three-year contract at Celtic Park and that Roberts will rejoin City for preseason training.
The Daily Record claim City want to sell Roberts but if an adequate offer doesn't come in then a loan option would be preferable to him staying in the reserves.
As for Huddersfield Town, it has been reported that the club have failed in their bid to bring Tom Ince to the John Smith's Stadium.
Derby are said to have rejected a £7.2m approach for Ince.
