Alvaro Morata is wanted at Manchester United
Manchester United want to sign Morata this summer and are supposedly in talks with Real Madrid over a deal.
The player’s agent is said to be in Madrid working on terms, while United are keen to get a medical underway soon.
However, the Red Devils may have to wait until next week to sign the 24-year-old if they insist on him doing the physical tests in Manchester.
For Morata is heading to Venice to prepare for his wedding on Saturday.
His friend posted a photo on instagram of Morata on a plane at Madrid airport with the caption “Great player, best person! Well accompanied to Venice.”
Alvaro Morata and Alice Campello will get married on Saturday
The Spain international is unlikely to be keen on flying from Italy to Manchester and back so close to the big day.
Reports from Spanish outlet Diario Gol today claimed Real president Florentino Perez wants Morata’s transfer sorted within 48 hours.
But that may need Manchester United to send out specialists to Italy for him to undergo the medical there.
Real are said to value Morata at £60million, despite barely playing the striker they signed from Juventus last term for £23m.
