Everton have been linked with a move for Ajax captain Davy Klaassen and a deal between both clubs is said to be close.
Koeman reportedly scouted the midfielder last month and is lining the 24-year-old up as a potential replacement for Ross Barkley.
And according to former Toffees goalkeeper Sander Westerveld, Klaassen will have no problem adjusting to life in the Premier League.
"It is about the balance between physical strength and football intelligence," he told Dutch outlet Algemeen Dagblad.

"Of course, it's no longer just physical in England and in that regard, Klaassen naturally fits perfectly.
"In recent years he has proved that as the absolute leader of Ajax.
"The [Premier League] games are so much more intense and more frequent but he has the mentality.
"Besides, it's the easiest thing to improve [physicality] if you are tactically and technically sound."
Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb claimed this week Everton have made a £19million bid for Klaassen - £3m short of Ajax's asking price.
The report says an agreement, however, is not far away from being agreed.
Klaseen made 50 appearances for the Dutch side this term, scoring an impressive 20 goals from midfield.
His current deal with Ajax runs until June 2019.
