Alphonse Areola admits concerns over PSG future amid Chelsea interest
ALPHONSE AREOLA admits he will not contemplate the possibility of becoming third-choice goalkeeper at Paris Saint-Germain.
The 24-year-old started last season as PSG's No1 shot-stopper.
But he saw himself on the bench for the latter stages of the campaign as he lost his place to Kevin Trapp.
In fact, Areola's last appearance came back in February as Trapp got the nod from manager Unai Emery to start.
But despite a lack of game time, last month the Frenchman was linked with a move to Chelsea with Antonio Conte keen to find a replacement for Asmir Begovic.
Following Begovic's move to Bournemouth, Conte wants to find a replacement that will provide healthy competition for No1 Thibaut Courtois.

For me, it is impossible to become the third choice at PSG.
And with PSG said to be making plans to bring in another goalkeeper, Areola appears concerned for his future at the Parc des Princes.
"My future is very fluid for the moment," he said on Telefoot.
"With the arrival of the new Sporting Director (Antero Henrique), the discussions are blocked.
"I need to have a better season next then the last.

"It is important to have playing time… I was told at the end of the season that the club is looking for a goalkeeper.

Areola has been with PSG's senior team since 2012 but has managed just 17 Ligue 1 appearances.
The shot-stopper, who has been sent out on loan to three different clubs during that time, is under contract with PSG until 2019.
