ANGEL GOMES (midfielder, age 16)
Background: Gomes, who has skippered England at under-16 and under-17 level, went into this game having just become the youngest-ever recipient of United's youth team player of the year award.
Performance: Got on for the last couple of minutes, replacing Wayne Rooney, having little opportunity to make a mark but making history as the first player born in the 2000s to play in the Premier League.
