Manchester United & Barcelona snubbed by Pedro Neto: Real Madrid move planned instead
REAL MADRID are reportedly Portuguese sensation Pedro Neto’s preferred career choice over Manchester United and Barcelona.
James Rodriguez appears to say goodbye to Real Madrid fans
The 17-year-old has attracted the attention of Europe’s biggest clubs at Braga.
A huge future is anticipated for the left-winger, although Neto does not appear to have had his head turned.
According to Spanish outlet Don Balon, Barca and United have tried to convince Neto to join them.
Both sides have apparently knocked on his door but the youngster has made his intentions clear.
It is claimed Neto’s long-term objective is to play for Madrid and become a star at the Bernabeu in Spain.
A big future is predicted for Portugal Under-17 international Pedro Neto
Neto has committed himself to Braga until 2020
But the attacker has his career mapped out which will see him progress gradually and develop in Portugal first.
Barca target Neto has committed himself to Braga until 2020, meaning no summer switch is forthcoming.
However, it is said at the end of his contract, the Portugal Under-18 international will then seek the next step at the Bernabeu.
Don Balon say Madrid will keep a close eye on Neto in the meantime before determining whether to approve a move.
The teenager intends to continue growing in the Portuguese league and avoid the huge pressures at Old Trafford, Nou Camp and Bernabeu for now.
