Man United star slammed by Graeme Souness after role in Tottenham loss
GRAEME SOUNESS hit out at Wayne Rooney's role in Victor Wanyama's first-half goal for Tottenham against Manchester United today.
Rooney equals Bobby Charlton's record with historic goal
Wanyama opened the scoring for Tottenham after just five minutes in the final game at White Hart Lane.
Rooney was marking the Kenyan for the cross from Ben Davies but the Manchester United captain lost his man to allow the midfielder to head past David de Gea.
Souness praised the cross but says Rooney was at fault.

"When we see it here Wayne Rooney's got Wanyama," he said on Sky Sports.
"It's a great cross, it's flat, it's whipped in.
"Look at Wayne Rooney, he's got him, he's touch tight.

"He's aware all the time, he's aware all the time and he just gets away at the vital moment and Wayne gets under the ball.
"Sometimes you have to say because of the quality of the cross, it doesn't matter what you do defending-wise.
"Wayne is certainly at fault for me but give some credit to the cross. It's a wicked cross."
Rooney did score in the second half for the Red Devils but it wasn't enough to stop his side losing 2-1.
