Liverpool eye move for Serie A star as Julian Brandt alternative: He nearly signed in 2014
LIVERPOOL are reportedly eyeing a move for Roma star Mohamed Salah after giving up in their pursuit of Julian Brandt.

Brandt, 21, has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool this season after impressing at Bayer Leverkusen.
But the Reds have now given up in their pursuit of the German international with Brandt unwilling to risk his number of appearances from dropping should he move to Anfield.
"If you make the move, there is no guarantee that you'll play,” he said on his future.

“I believe that it's important that I get a lot of games next season, and that is a given here at Leverkusen."
And Goal claim Jurgen Klopp has now turned his attentions towards Salah as he looks to bolster his attacking ranks ahead of next season.
It is claimed that the Reds have been long term admirers of the Egypt international and almost signed him in January 2014.

But the Reds missed out with Salah opting to join Chelsea instead.
However, they look set to renew their interest in the Roma winger with Arsenal's Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain also being earmarked.
Salah, who is contracted to Roma until 2019, has impressed this season - scoring 13 goals and providing 10 assists.
