But they claim Valverde has demanded five players be shown the door before he steps into the Nou Camp hot seat.
Jeremy Mathieu, Lucas Digne and Aleix Vidal are all said to be at the top of Valverde's list, while Andre Gomes and Arda Turan's days appear to be numbered at Valverde's request.
Valverde, who made 22 La Liga appearances for Barca during his playing days, has been in charge of Bilbao since 2013.

However, if Valverde does take charge of Barca, the club risk upsetting Neymar.
Reports in Spain today suggest the Brazilian has urged Barca officials to give assistant coach Juan Carlos Unzue the job.
