CHELSEA have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain playmaker Javier Pastore.

Chelsea are said to be long-term admirers of the Argentina international.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte failed to sign the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder last year and will try again this summer.

But Pastore's agent insists the player is happy at the Parc des Princes and could even finish his career in the French capital.
“[Javier Pastore] loves France, Paris and PSG. And I can say that it is possible that he finishes his career there,” Marcelo Simonian said.

Pastore is one of the longest-serving players in the PSG squad, having joined the Ligue 1 champions from Palermo in 2011.
The 27-year-old, who has suffered with a number of injuries this season, is said to have snubbed a move to Chelsea when he made the £37million switch.
