Arsenal's odds slashed to sign Chelsea star
CHELSEA defender John Terry could be heading to Arsenal this summer, according to the bookies.
John Terry's odds slashed to sign for Arsenal this summer
Terry announced last month that he will end his 22-year association with Chelsea when his contract expires at the end of the season.
The 36-year-old signed a one-year extension last May but has fallen out of favour under Antonio Conte, with his last Premier League start coming in September.
And according to bookmakers Betfair, Terry could be heading to London rivals Arsenal this summer after seeing his odds slashed from 20/1 to 8/1 following a flurry of bets.
John Terry could follow Petr Cech at Arsenal
The former England international has been linked with the likes of West Brom, Bournemouth and West Ham, along with teams in the Chinese Super League and MLS.
But Terry could follow in the footsteps of former Chelsea team-mate Petr Cech, who joined Arsenal in 2015 after losing his place to goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
Former Chelsea coach Ray Wilkins expects the Blues captain to remain in the Premier League as his family is settled in England.
“I think the interesting thing about it is that John has a lovely family and is very settled,” Wilkins told talkSPORT.
“To uproot everything might not be something he wants to do.
"The Premier League would be attractive for him. Even if it was just for one season.”
