Transfer News: Man United verbal agreement, Arsenal’s Mbappe admission, £47m Chelsea bid
EXPRESS SPORT brings you all the latest transfer news.
James Rodríguez scores sensational goal against Barcelona
James Rodriguez reportedly has a verbal agreement with his agent to join Manchester United.
The Colombia international has found game time hard to come by at Real Madrid this season.
Jose Mourinho is eyeing a move and there are claims Rodriguez is hoping to gain dual nationality to help him engineer a move to Old Trafford.
And according to Spanish news outlet Diario Gol, the playmaker has an arrangement in place with his agent.
And while admitting the Gunners are keen on the 18-year-old, Wenger thinks the figures bandied about could be too much for his side.
“Of course [we're targeting Mbappe],” Wenger told SFR Sport.
“It would be hypocritical and a lie to say we're not following him.
“But he's perhaps already in the category of clubs who perhaps have more financial potential than us.”
Kalidou Koulibaly was on Chelsea's radar last term
Chelsea had a £47million rejected for Kalidou Koulibaly, according to Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis.
Antonio Conte tried to sign the centre-half last summer.
He is looking to bolster his defence at the end of the season with John Terry leaving Stamford Bridge.
And discussing the Blues’ failed move, De Laurentiis told beIN Sports: “Chelsea had offered €55m, but I told Conte that I could not give him up without first having a worthy substitute.
“I will not sell him] unless Sarri tells me: 'I have Tom, Dick and Harry who are reliable: you give up who you want'."
