Chelsea’s £47m offer revealed: Club president told Antonio Conte this
CHELSEA had a £47million bid rejected for Napoli star Kalidou Koulibaly, the club’s president Aurelio De Laurentiis has confirmed.
Antonio Conte was keen to bring centre-half Koulibaly to Stamford Bridge last summer.
The Blues are eager to strengthen their defence this summer, with John Terry heading for the exit door.
Recent reports have suggested Everton have made an enquiry for Koulibaly, with the west London outfit dropping their interest.
“(I will not sell him) unless (manager Mauricio) Sarri tells me: ‘I have Tom, Dick and Harry who are reliable: you give up who you want’.”
At the time, Napoli were demanding £60m for his services.
