Chelsea left in cold as Monaco push ahead with talks over £17.4m signing
CHELSEA look set to miss out on signing Anderlecht winger Youri Tielemans as talks with the Belgian club and Monaco get underway, according to reports.
Chelsea and Monaco want to sign Youri Tielemans
Chelsea want to sign 19-year-old Tielemans this summer, Express Sport understands.
Manchester United have also kept tabs on the Belgium starlet but the Blues are thought to have been the most prominent Premier League club to push for his services.
But reports in France claim Monaco have swooped in and are now negotiating a fee with Anderlecht.
According to outlet Le 10 Sport, discussions over an estimated £16.7million deal - with bonuses - for Tielemans are ongoing.
Anderlecht are realistic about their chances of keeping their young gem, who resisted the opportunity to leave the Jupiler League side last summer.

But Monaco, who are on course to win Ligue 1 this season and are into the Champions League semi-finals, are ready to offer the winger a head-spinning amount of money to capture his signature.
It is claimed Monaco are preparing to sell Fabinho and that Tielemans is their top choice to come in as a like-for-like replacement.
