Arsenal plot stunning £50m double swoop… but only if this happens
ARSENAL have reportedly set their sights on Porto forward Yacine Brahimi and Schalke playmaker Max Meyer.
Arsene Wenger eyes £50m swoop for Yacine Brahimi and Max Meyer
That is according to The Sun, who claim Arsene Wenger is preparing for life without key Arsenal duo Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil.
The pair will enter the final 12 months of their Arsenal deals this summer and have been locked in contract talks for the past few months - but are no closer to reaching an agreement.
Yacine Brahimi has been compared to Alexis Sanchez by Arsenal scouts
The Gunners are said to have targeted Brahimi and Meyer as their ideal replacements and are prepared to spend £50million to land them.
Arsenal scouts have reportedly compared Porto's Brahimi, 27, to Sanchez due to his ability to play out on the left and through the middle.
Max Meyer has been compared to Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli
While Schalke playmaker Meyer, 21, has been compared to Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli.
But the Gunners could face competition for Meyer, with Liverpool said to be a huge fan of the Germany international.
