Jose Mourinho: Luke Shaw is a long way behind in the team
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho gave a withering assessment of Shaw after Saturday’s 0-0 draw with West Brom.
“Luke Shaw? It was difficult for him to be on the bench because I cannot compare him with Ashley Young, with Darmian, with Blind,” Mourinho said.
“The way he trains, the way he commits, the focus, the ambition, I cannot compare. He’s a long way behind.”

Tottenham are favourites with the bookmakers to sign Shaw.
And The Sun claim the 21-year-old has made the first move in securing a transfer away from Old Trafford.
According to the report, Shaw has asked Pochettino to find a way of securing a deal.

Tottenham are aware that they could lose star left-back Danny Rose to Manchester City in a £50million deal.
And Shaw could be a perfect - and cheaper - replacement for England international Rose, with Ben Davies the other option for Pochettino.
