GARETH BALE has urged Real Madrid president Florentino Perez to sign rising Liverpool star Ben Woodburn, according to reports.

Woodburn, 17, burst onto the scene after becoming the youngest-ever goalscorer for Liverpool in their EFL Cup win over Leeds in November.
He has since been called up to the Wales national squad by Chris Coleman.

And his talents have not gone unnoticed with Spanish outlet Don Balon claiming Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale is highly impressed by the youngster.
Bale apparently thinks his compatriot could become the long-term heir to Cristiano Ronaldo and has informed Real chief Perez to raid the Reds for his signature.

However, this will prove to be a tough task with Jurgen Klopp keen to keep hold of his top young talent.
Woodburn has made three Premier League appearances this season and is contracted to Liverpool until 2019.
