Real Madrid agree to sign Manchester United star: Mega £65m package deal lined up - report
REAL MADRID have reached an agreement in principle with Manchester United to sign David de Gea, according to reports.
Real Madrid have agreed a deal to sign Manchester United star David de Gea
David de Gea, 26, has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid in recent seasons with the La Liga giants keen to replace Keylor Navas.
The Spain international came close to leaving Manchester United for the Bernabeu in 2015 but an administrative error scuppered his move.
David de Gea is Zinedine Zidane's No 1 summer transfer target at Real Madrid
However, Spanish outlet Don Balon claim Zinedine Zidane will finally get his man after agreeing to sign the Spain international in the summer.
It is suggested that all that remains to be finalised is the transfer fee and how they are going to convince United to let go of their star man.
James Rodriguez will join Manchester United as part of David de Gea's transfer to Real Madrid
United will not consider offers of below £65million for De Gea.
But Real have moved to sweeten the deal for De Gea by proposing a player-plus-cash package, which will see James Rodriguez move to Old Trafford.
Jose Mourinho is a long-term admirer of Rodriguez and it is suggested this proposal could ensure that De Gea becomes a Real player next season.
