Liverpool told to pay striker's £24m release clause after talks with club
LIVERPOOL are plotting a summer move for Sampdoria striker Luis Muriel, according to reports in Italy.
Liverpool are keen to sign Sampdoria striker Luis Muriel
Liverpool are short on strikers and have played Roberto Firmino up top for much of the season.
Jurgen Klopp does not appear to fancy Daniel Sturridge much, restricting him to just five Premier League starts.
And Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb claim the Reds are looking to address their striker situation by bringing in Sampdoria's Luis Muriel.

The report says the Premier League club have already made enquiries about the Colombia international's availability.
And Sampdoria have reportedly told them they must match his £24million release clause.
Muriel has been in good form this season, scoring 12 goals and providing nine assists in 31 appearances.
And Liverpool must act quickly if they are to sign Muriel after he revealed earlier this month multiple clubs had approached him.
"I’ve had several offers from Juventus, Inter [Milan], [AC] Milan and Roma in Italy," Muriel said.
"And also from abroad, in Spain and England.”
