STEVEN GERRARD and Michael Owen have ribbed Jamie Carragher for becoming vain now he’s on TV.

Both players described Carragher as the least vain player they played with - but say that’s changed now he’s working on Sky.
Gerrard and Owen were among the Liverpool heroes quizzed by NIVEA ahead of their 4-3 legends win over Real Madrid.
When asked who the vainest player he played with was Gerrard said: "Jean Arne Riise. But I've noticed Carra's started wearing wax on Sky Sports so he might take that mantle."

And Gerrard stuck the knife in further when asked who the least vain person was.
“Used to be Carra,” he said. “But since he’s started going into the showbiz world I’ve noticed he’s taken a few of his greys out and adding a bit of wax to the basic carpet.”

Owen also picked Carragher as the least vain but admitted he’s been seen a change.
“I’d say Carra,” Owen said. “Carra’s not bothered about anything apart from football but certainly not the way he looks.
“Well he wasn’t anyway, he’s starting to smarten up a bit now in his old age but he certainly wasn’t.”
