Barcelona rival Arsenal in race to sign France star: His friend is working on transfer
BARCELONA have entered the race to sign Lyon midfielder Corentin Tolisso, according to reports.
Corentin Tolisso is reportedly a target for Barcelona
Corentin Tolisso has become a key player for Lyon over the last three seasons and is said to have caught the eye of a number of Europe's top clubs.
In October the 22-year-old admitted he "dreamt" of a move to Arsenal or Barcelona, and talked up his suitability for the Premier League.
And Spanish newspaper Sport claims Barca have now joined the race to sign the midfielder.
Barcelona will be watching Corentin Tolisso in action tonight in France's friendly with Spain
MAGNIFICENT 'Clasico' goals over the years
The report says Barca's technical director Robert Fernandez will be in attendance for Spain's friendly with France in Paris tonight (8pm).
And he will use the game as an opportunity to run the rule over Tolisso, as well as Monaco pair Kylian Mbappe and Thomas Lemar.
Barca have good ties with Lyon having signed defender Samuel Umtiti from them last summer.
And it is said they are hopeful Umtiti can convince Tolisso to make the move to the Nou Camp as they are close friends.
The Lyon star also offers a solution to Barca'a current problems at right-back, having played there for much of his youth career.
The Spanish side have struggled to fill the position due to Dani Alves' departure last summer and a serious ankle injury to Aleix Vidal.
Corentin Tolisso revealed this week he has not agreed a deal with Juventus
Tolisso was reported to have already agreed a deal with Juve but he dismissed the claims this week.
"I have not signed anything with Juventus," he told French magazine L'Equipe.
"I have a contract with Lyon until 2020, so that should answer all questions about whether I am still here next season."
