SEAMUS COLEMAN suffered a broken leg as a result of a horrific tackle in Wales' 0-0 draw with Republic of Ireland this evening.

The Everton defender was subjected to a horror tackle from Aston Villa's Neil Taylor during a World Cup qualifier this evening in Dublin.
Coleman had to be stretchered off and Republic of Ireland boss Martin O'Neill confirmed the defender had suffered a broken leg.
“It's a bad break. He's a fantastic player and character. It’s a major blow for the lad, his club and us," O'Neill said.

"Apparently it wasn’t the best challenge in the world – I haven’t seen it. He's gone to hospital.
"I saw his reaction immediately and it didn’t look good. He was holding is leg up and it didn't look good.
"Seamus is a major blow - at the end of it all the most important thing is Seamus' health."
Seamus Coleman received oxygen as he was stretchered off
Coleman had to be given oxygen on the field before being taken off to hospital.
He will now face a lengthy spell on the sidelines as he begins his fight to be fit for a return at some point next season.
