Tottenham star Dele Alli was given a straight red card for a foul on Brecht Dejaegere in the 2-2 Europa League draw with Gent last month.
The draw was not enough to see Spurs through to the next round, meaning Alli's ban will begin at the start of next season.
And that could prove a massive loss to Tottenham if they qualify for the Champions League.
Were Spurs to secure top-three finsih in the Premier League this season then Alli would miss their opening three group games of the Champions League campaign.
