Chelsea dealt huge blow in £22m pursuit of former Liverpool winger
CHELSEA have been dealt a huge blow in their pursuit to bring AC Milan winger Suso back to the Premier League.
Suso has attracted interest from Chelsea
Suso spent five years in England at Liverpool before he left for AC Milan in January 2015.
He made just 21 first-team appearances for Liverpool but has gone from strength to strength at Milan, where he's scored six goals and provided nine assists so far this season.
Suso made 21 appearances for Liverpool's senior team
And the 23-year-old's performances for the Serie A giants are said to have attracted interest from Premier League leaders Chelsea.
Italian outlet Calciomercato reported last week that Blues manager Antonio Conte has already placed the £22million-rated winger on his summer shortlist.
Suso wants new contract at AC Milan
But Suso's father Jesus Fernandez insists his son is only thinking about signing a new contract at the San Siro as he recovers from a muscle injury.
He told Milan News: "Suso is recovering from injury, [he] thinks only of Milan and wants to recover as soon as possible.
"The goal is the renewal? Absolutely."
