Tottenham surge clear of Arsenal in race for Everton ace: Pochettino convinced about this
TOTTENHAM have reportedly surged ahead in the race to sign Everton ace Ross Barkley this summer.
Mauricio Pochettino - Spotlight on
Barkley has been in exceptional form for Everton since the turn of the year, and is the club’s second top goalscorer with five strikes in all competitions.
Tottenham are long-term admirers of the 23-year-old, who is deliberating over his future at Goodison Park.
Recent reports have suggested Arsenal are mulling over a move, seeing as the club are preparing a major clear-out of players.
With Aaron Ramsey tipped to leave, Barkley could fill a void.
But the Daily Mail claim Spurs are in the driving seat.

While the north London outfit won’t necessarily be embarking on any huge spending sprees with a new stadium on the way, Mauricio Pochettino will be keen to add quality to his squad to keep pace with the club’s top four rivals.
The report suggests while Spurs previously had doubts about Barkley, they have dissipated.
Pochettino, it is thought, reckons Barkley could function effectively alongside Dele Alli.
And they are convinced Barkley is worth taking a punt on.
