Arsenal are plotting moves for the summer despite uncertainty surrounding manager Arsene Wenger's future.
Central midfielder Keita, 22, has impressed at Leipzig since arriving from RB Salzburg last summer.
And German newspaper Sport Bild claim the Gunners are admirers of the Guinea international.
According to the report, mega-rich Leipzig are unwilling to sell their young gem unless Arsenal stump up £26million.
That would make him the fifth-most expensive signing in Arsenal's history.
And it is added that Arsenal are not the only club interested in Keita, with Leipzig's rivals Bayern Munich keen to muscle in on any deal.
