Gareth Bale insists he gets on well with Real Madrid team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo
Gareth Bale has stolen some of the limelight away from Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid following his £86million world-record move from Tottenham in 2013.
Bale’s transfer eclipsed the £80m Real paid to land Ronaldo from Manchester United in 2009 - sparking rumours that the Portuguese superstar didn’t like the Welshman.
Both players have insisted they have no problem with one another, but rumours persist the pair don’t get along, a theory boosted by the statistic that Ronaldo and Bale did not exchange a pass during the entirety of Real’s 3-1 Champions League win over Napoli on Tuesday night.
Rumours in Spain say Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo do not like one another

“We've always got on well,” he told the Daily Mail.
“We've scored a lot of goals, given each other a lot of assists and won two Champions Leagues. So it hasn't gone too bad.

“He's changed his game slightly. At Manchester United you'd see him running from deep. He's more of a striker [now]. He's very effective in the box, scoring goals, making assists.
“As you get older [Ronaldo is 32, Bale is 27], even I'm starting to change my game a little bit. He knows what he's doing and he's doing it very well.
“We go out as a team now and again for food and do team bonding. Most players keep themselves to themselves and have their own things they like to do. Mine's usually golf.”
