Mauricio Pochettino looks set to guide Tottenham to a second top-four finish in the Premier League as they sit in second place with 12 games left to play.
But Spurs have struggled to keep up with their rivals in the transfer market in recent seasons, spending just £70million on four new recruits since the summer.
While Manchester City (£180m), Manchester United (£150m), Chelsea (£120m) and Arsenal (£100m) all heavily invested in their squad during the same period.

The Argentine boss is said to be concerned by the prospect of big changes at both Arsenal and Liverpool.
Spurs currently sit 10 points behind leaders Chelsea, while they exited the Champions League at the group stage and were knocked out of the Europa League in the last 32 by Gent.
Pochettino has reportedly already set his sights on Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha, Everton midfielder Ross Barkley and Burnley striker Andre Gray for when the transfer window reopens.

The former Southampton manager yesterday warned Tottenham's transfer targets that talent alone is not enough to impress him.
"We try to sign players who can improve our squad not only in terms of football quality," said Pochettino. "If they are very good people, it is even better.
"We are a company. Football is the most important thing, but it is not only about football. It is about football and people."
