The Californian side are hoping the Swedish striker can fill the void left by Steven Gerrard and Robbie Keane, who both recently left the club.
Ibrahimovic held talks with Galaxy before he decided to join United last summer.

But Galaxy’s bid is not expected to be the only one for the striker, as a move to Chinese Super League has also been mooted.
Ibrahimovic is out of contract at Manchester United at the end of the season.
The 35-year-old wants a new two-year deal at Old Trafford, but the Red Devils appear to only be willing to offer an extra year to the striker.
Ibrahimovic moved to Manchester United in the summer from Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer.
And the Swedish striker has been a revelation at Old Trafford this season.
He now has 26 goals in all competitions for Manchester United this term.
