But, according to Italian outlet Calciomercato, United have stolen a march on their rivals.
The report claims that Donnarumma's agent Raiola has spoken with United over a potential move when the transfer window re-opens.
Raiola has recently been quoted saying that his client "doesn't deserve a great AC Milan, Donnarumma deserves a big club".
