ARSENAL legend Thierry Henry says he doesn’t want to see Arsene Wenger suffering.

Arsene Wenger’s side were subject to a crushing 5-1 defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday night as Arsenal fans turned on their boss.
With the Frenchman out of contract at the end of the season, and Wenger insisting he won’t be retiring anytime soon, Arsenal’s fanbase are divided over his future.
Some fans have publicly called for Wenger to quit after over 20 years of service.

And while Henry feels his former boss is responsible for Arsenal’s downfall, he insists the abuse he has received from supporters is not justified.
“Arsene has taken all the bullets at Arsenal for a long time,” Henry said in his column for The Sun.
“He gave that club success when it was struggling. I know it was successful before but he changed the club, took them into the new stadium: built the modern Arsenal.
“Everyone goes on about ‘Arsene this’ and ‘Arsene that’ when the defeats come but the players need to stand up and be counted too.

“OK, it is his team, he’s the leader, he created that side. He’s at fault because he’s the boss. But the players must look at themselves too.
“If you’re a real Arsenal fan you don’t want to see Arsene suffering the way he is right now.
“I certainly don’t.”
Arsene Wenger will be looking to put things right when Arsenal travel to Sutton in the fifth round of the FA Cup tomorrow night (7.55pm).
