Bournemouth charged by FA over breach of anti-doping rules
BOURNEMOUTH have been charged by the FA for a breach of the organisation's anti-doping rules.
Eddie Howe's Bournemouth have been charged by the FA
Bournemouth released a statement of their website reading: “AFC Bournemouth have been charged in relation to The FA’s rules on anti-doping.
“It is alleged the club failed to ensure that their ‘Club Whereabouts’ information was accurate, contrary to Regulation 14(d).”
Bournemouth have until Thursday 23rd February 2017 to respond to the charge.
The Cherries are accused of not keeping the governing body informed on the location of their players in order to facilitate drug-testing.
Pep Guardiola's Manchester City were fined £35,000 for a similar charge
The FA expect to be kept informed of the times of training sessions and home addresses of players, including where the team may stay overnight when competing at away matches.
Manchester City were recently charged with a similar offence and were handed a £35,000 fine yesterday having not contested the claim.
