Chelsea News: £30m summer transfer battle, defender snub, Costa contract talks
EXPRESS SPORT brings you the latest news and gossip coming out of Stamford Bridge.
Diego Costa - 5 things you need to know
Chelsea are keeping an eye on Monaco star Thomas Lemar ahead of the summer transfer window, according to reports.
Antonio Conte is keen to add some more creativity to his midfield, especially as Cesc Fabregas could leave at the end of the season.
Manchester City have also been monitoring Lemar, with French paper L'Equipe claiming Monaco would want at least £30 million for the 21-year-old.
Lemar is in demand with Atletico Madrid considering tabling an offer should Antoine Griezmann, who has been heavily linked to Manchester United, quit the La Liga giants.
Diego Costa is reportedly in advanced talks over a new Chelsea deal
John Terry is set to stay at Chelsea until the end of the season
Chelsea star John Terry has reportedly turned down three offers from MLS clubs to stay with the Blues.
The 36-year-old has found game time hard to come by this term, and is unlikely to get a contract extension.
And the Daily Star suggests Terry rejected wages of £200,000 a week to move Stateside.
It is believed however, Terry spoke to friend and former team-mate Frank Lampard to get the lowdown on the MLS, but decided to stay put.
Thomas Lemar has no shortage of admirers
Chelsea are reportedly in advanced talks over a new deal for Diego Costa.
The Spaniard had a bust-up with Antonio Conte last month after he was the subject of a mega offer to move to the Chinese Super League.
While The Sun suggested Costa has agreed in principle a new five-year contract, Sky Sports claims negotiations have progressed but nothing has been thrashed out as of yet.
