Liverpool could drop star man for Tottenham showdown - Quinn
ADAM LALLANA could be axed by Jurgen Klopp for Saturday's showdown with Tottenham, according to former Newcastle striker Micky Quinn.
Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool haven't won a Premier League game in 2017
Liverpool have yet to win a Premier League match in 2017 and their run of two points from a possible 12 has seen them slip outside the top four for the first time since September 24.
Defeat at struggling Hull has piled the pressure on manager Klopp, and Quinn thinks changes could be on the horizon.
Jurgen Klopp is as much to blame as the Liverpool players
Quinn, a Liverpool supporter, suggests Klopp has been working on a pattern to beat Mauricio Pochettino's side that doesn't involve playmaker Lallana.
"Liverpool have been on that training ground after that defeat to Hull since Monday, working on a pattern to beat Spurs," Quinn said on TalkSPORT.
Micky Quinn says Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana might be dropped for Spurs showdown
"By all accounts that didn't involve Adam Lallana, so whether he's going to be dropped - I'm not too sure."
Quinn continued to discuss Saturday's clash at Anfield, and believes Liverpool can draw optimism from their successful history in this fixture.
Alan Shearer: Liverpool won't win the title
"The one thing I always look back on is history. Liverpool have been brilliant against Spurs down the years," he added.
"Spurs haven't won at Anfield in the Premier League for God knows how long, which is a plus and Jurgen Klopp's got to step up because there's questions about him as well."
