Zahid, who was born in Oslo, is a regular for Norway's Under-21 squad and netted their only goal against England during a heavy 6-1 defeat in June.
The 22-year-old made 28 top-flight appearances for Valerenga last campaign, and showed his attacking prowess with eights goals and seven assists.
