Leeds transfer update: What Garry Monk thinks of striker deal
LEEDS boss Garry Monk had no interest in signing former Grimsby striker Omar Bogle last month, according to Yorkshire Post reporter Phil Hay.
Leeds boss Garry Monk reportedly did not want Omar Bogle
Omar Bogle joined Championship side Wigan on transfer deadline day for a reported £750,000.
Grimsby director John Fenty has claimed the Latics were competing with Leeds for the 24-year-old's signature.
"There was another club, which I now don't mind revealing as Leeds United, who were tracking the interest in Omar," Fenty told the Grimsby Telegraph.

"They had an opportunity, at the last minute on deadline day, to come in and pip what was being offered by Wigan.
"They weren't prepared to do that and so that gives me the feeling that the deal we settled on with Wigan was of a good and fair value for a player of Omar's calibre and future potential."
However, Yorkshire Evening Post reporter Phil Hay has suggested Leeds' interest in Bogle has been over-exaggerated.

And the journalist has claimed Garry Monk was never that keen on bringing the striker to Elland Road in the first place.
"Message I'm getting is that the agent was pushing him Leeds' way," Hay tweeted.
"I am not convinced Garry Monk wanted him."
